In 2012 Therese Niko Busch started as Brand Director for DAY Birger et Mikkelsen and 2NDDAY.
Always traveling from one destination to another, trying to optimize the collections offered, she lacked essential, yet fashionable, traveling items to carry along her journeys. Therese Niko Busch started to explore old archives at DAY and came upon a simple nylon bag.
Light in weight, practicable yet complimenting the other bags and outfits she brought along her journeys. A fantastic travel partner, covering many needs. She presented the idea of an easy comprehensible traveling accessory concept for the Founder of DAY Birger Mikkelsen, Keld Mikkelsen, that quickly saw the potential of extending the daily couture range with a line of colorful complementary accessories.
DAY-et was born
The name “DAY et” originates from the French word “et” that means and/complimentary/extra. A perfect name that underlines the additional accessories line of the brand house, DAY Birger et Mikkelsen. Today DAY et ranges everything you need for a life in constant motion; everyday bags, soft leather goods, phone covers, yoga mats, travel trolleys, merino scarfs, gloves and so on. All come in various colors, structures, prints, quilts and styles.
If you are a mother, daughter, student, workout enthusiast or world traveller, you will always be able to find the exact design for you ….. and all of this just started with a simple nylon bag.
Each year more than 2000 styles and colors are created to comply with latest fashion trends and needs. Today DAY et are sold in more than 500 dealers around the world.
